Garden Wall ArtThis beautiful Morris & James ceramic fantail looks fantastic on a garden wall. It is part of a series under their "Garden Art" tab that also includes a Woodpigeon (Keruru), a Pukeko, a Takahe and a Tui. The Fantail costs $85.
In the Wall Art collection they also have panels including a 3-piece spectacular Mt Taranaki set with each panel 18cm wide. These truly are works of art and, being ceramic, they both convey quality and won't rust like a lot of metal based garden art. The website link is www.morrisandjames.co.nz where you will find a list of their full range as well as their stockists throughout New Zealand. You can also check out their kitchen platters - my favourite is the pohutukawa which is a vibrant blue green and red - you can see this on the "Home Design" tab of my "Home & Living" favourites. Designer BBQ CoversKiwi's love barbeques, we love our entertaining areas and often invest alot is a stylish stainless steel hooded BBQ BUT then we cover them in a drab black cover!! At last there are a couple of more stylish options.
BBQ Canvas have four two-toned designer covers. Admittedly some are a bit OTT for my liking with a fish or sheep on them - but the Tusan Olive one I bought I really like, even more so now that it has faded in the UV. You can check out BBQ Canvas' designs at www.bbqcanvas.co.nz or you can get one using your Fly Buys points - just 600 points. I'm hoping a wider range of designer covers will become available but for now the only other designer(ish) BBQ cover I've found is www.u-neek.co.nz which has three designs: bamboo, creeper and rock. P.S. Have just found another awesome option..... www.stash-it.co.nz uses recycled billboard canvases to create AMAZING limited edition BBQ covers. They also use them to make surf board covers. The BBQ covers were a little hidden on the site so follow this link: http://www.stash-it.co.nz/shop/BBQ+Covers+-+Recycled+Billboard/ Mosaic KitsAt /www.mosaicwarehouse.co.nz you'll find a range of DIY mosaic kits on kiwi or quirky themes. They have Pukekos, fantails, bumblebees, seahorses and sunflowers priced between $38 - 51.
These mosaic kits have quite small tiles for a detailed mosaic however there is also a seller on Trade Me selling mosaic kits with just a few large pieces which you could then fill around with smaller tiles of your chosen colour. The seller is Gamo2 and their kitsets sell for $15 - 30 or alternatively you can buy a completed mosaic or mosaic paver. Bar-B-Mate the Ultimate Barbie Tool |
